Alaude being so tired so suddenly was a little worry some, and it wasn’t very easy helping him outside. The blond almost fell over with every step they took. “Why don’t you stay here for the night? We can pick up your stuff tomorrow morning before leaving for the resort.” Nero suggested because it seriously looked like Alaude was going to fall asleep standing up.

He weighed his options (sadly he couldn’t make very good decisions in this state) and decided to do as he said. Right now he could barely think little less get home. Besides, he was going to pack tomorrow morning anyway.
”.. Mm. Alright.”
At a place like this… he was sure there were plenty of guest rooms where he could sleep. Besides, he was used to sleeping on an uncomfortable couch. Alaude stifled a yawn and leaned his head against the other’s chest. “Take me to a room.”

Nero smiled, Alaude was just like a little child wasn’t he~? Better not say that out loud however. The raven helped the half asleep Alaude back inside and had some one point him in direction of the guest bedroom.

"Did you want to change Alaude?" He asked helping the blond into the room and into bed. Though it was a little pointless to change clothes if one did not have any clothes to change into.

Nero noticed the blond from the corner of his eyes as he spoke to some guests. He watched carefully and noticed how sluggish he was. Maybe he was sick or something? Nero quickly and elegantly excused himself from the conversation and strode over to the blond.

"Leaving already?" He placed a hand on Alaude’s back since it looked like he was going to fall over. "I’ll escort you out." It was the least he could do for his brother-in-law to be.

He could barely keep his eyes open, and tilted his chin up to stare at the man currently supporting all his weight. His facial expression resembled the one of a drowsy cat. The blue eyes shielded by his long lashes and there were dark circles beneath.

"… sleepy." Alaude murmured, frowning a little. It almost felt like he was dreaming, since everything was surreal to him right now. So for once he accepted help from someone (he barely knew) and allowed the man to take him outside. Fresh air helped a little but not much, he was still drowsy.

"Okay…" From the look in Alaude’s eyes it seemed like he was determined, and Nero didn’t want to fight over pants. Alouette had similar eyes like that when she wanted something, but Nero doubted she would ever offer to wash his clothes. The raven went into his room and quickly changed into another pair of pants, tossing the dirty pair onto the bed to wash later before returning to the party as if nothing had happened.

He rubbed the bridge of his nose, his eyes were getting all sore from lack of sleep. Come to think of it, he’s been awake for two days straight… perhaps some rest is well needed.

Alaude stood up from the table, it felt like the world was spinning and he had to take support from the chair to be able to remain on his two feet. He shook his head lightly and walked towards the exit - if he took a cab to the hotel and just buy new clothes instead of going home and pack it would make things easier.

Ah he didn’t see that coming. Right onto his black pants too. “Ah…it’s alright…” Nero smiled taking the napkin and wiped off as much as he could except there was white smudges and streaks everywhere now.

"That’s alright, I have a change of clothes inside." He smiled throwing the napkin to the side. "I guess I’ll see you later then." Nero gave him a short nod before heading inside the manor.

"Oh.. no I insist, just hand me over your dirty laundry once you changed into new ones." He muttered, refusing to give in. He hated to owe someone a favor or feel bad, he preferred to keep a certain balance when it came to his relationships.

With that being said he watched the other leave and took a seat by a seemingly empty table. No one noticed him so he took his chance to get some work down and scribbled thoughts down in a notebook. Tomorrow he’d have to move into the hotelroom, so he would be supervised.

Before Nero could really protest or say anything for that matter she was already gone. “Ah..She left her drink behind…” Nero sighed inwardly looking around for a waiter to take at least one glass from him. But of course they;re never around when you actually need them.

"Even if I didn’t want to party, you should still have a key," Nero smiled going to the table, where the cake was and set the glasses down so he could give Alaude a key. "If you want to go to work, I don’t mind covering for you for a while." After all it did seem like Alaude was passionate about his work.

Alaude tailed after him to the cake table and took the opportunity to grab another slice. He was just about shove a spoonful into his mouth when Cavallone reached him the key.

"Huh. Thanks." He took the key and stuffed it into his chest pocket, balancing the plate of cake with his left hand - sadly his balance skills were not as great as he hoped they would be and the plate dropped. The poor cake landed on Cavallone’s pants and shoes.

Merde! Uh… sorry about that.” The blonde reached for a napkin and gave it to the other. “I can wash them for you, if you’d like.”

Since when was it tradition?! He understood not seeing the bride right before the wedding, or not seeing her in her bridal dress, but not even sharing a room for a week? He smiled awkwardly at the smack on the arm, ow…

Nero blinked and turned to Alaude at the fat comment, “there’s nothing wrong with eating cake…” Besides, it looked like Alaude could use a few more pounds on his bones. Alaude did look like a child though. A soft chuckle escaped from him before returning to look at Alouette and took both the keys from her since Alaude was still eating his cake.

Truth to be told, Alouette just wanted some space before binding herself to one man… also some fun. What Cavallone didn’t know wouldn’t kill him, Besides, it was just for a week and his parents didn’t seem to mind.

"Whatever, try to get along. Tomorrow morning you need to go try out your new suits, I already booked a cab so be at the lobby at 9." She waved her hand as if she was dismissing them. Then she got called away by a group of friends and left the two alone.

Alaude had just finished his cake and his eyes shifted back to the trays where the cakes stood again. He didn’t want to try out the new suit, he wanted to go back and work on his case tomorrow. Although there was cake present so he didn’t really care at the moment.

"If you want to party then give me a set of the keys." He murmured, finally managing to let his gaze wander back to his future brother-in-law.

"Ah, actually I-" He was cute short as he had to awkwardly hold onto the female’s glass and noticed Alaude approaching them, this time with cake in his hands.

Nero smiled at the blonde male as he returned, “we have met actually…” He blinked surprised and turned to his fiancee, “wait, we’re not sharing a room?” This was news to him since he was the one who booked the rooms for them and their guests.

No offence to Alaude, Nero wanted to spend every moment with his wife to be before the wedding and after.

"It’s tradition, duuuh. Don’t worry though, we have all the time in the world after the wedding." She laughed at her fiancé’s eagerness and smacked him at his arm. "Seriously Alaude, you are going to get fat if you don’t stop with the sweets."

The male twin didn’t even bother to respond to that and merely gave his sister a sharp glare. There was some cream on his lips and his cheeks were stuffed with the strawberry shortcake. To be honest he didn’t exacty fancy the idea of sharing a room with a strange man, but he knew better than to argue with his twin.

"Here’s the keys to your room, I expect you to help at the wedding, Alaude. Don’t even try to sneak back to your office, I already called to make sure you could take this week off." She warned, reaching out two sets of hotel keys to give to them.

"H-huh…" He wasn’t sure how to respond to that besides saying thanks.

"What a weird kid…" Nero watched him leave about to turn around before almost bumping into someone else. "A-ah…Alouette! I was just about to look for you..”

The other blonde with the identical face turned around and greeted her fiance with a frowny look. “You are late. Did you see my brother? He said he was going to be here, but he’s a workaholic so he’ll probably be late as well.” She complained and reached her champagne glass over so her fiancé could hold it and flipped her hair.

"…" Alaude walked over to the two, still holding his plate of cake. The spoon was in his mouth, his blue marble eyes staring at them questioningly.

"Ah, Alaude~ Have you met your brother-in-law? I thought you guys could share a room until the wedding. The bride and groom can’t stay together, as you know."

They had booked a resort place so that they could prep for the wedding there and host it, it would take a week to get everything ready and she needed her brother there.

"Ah, actually I-" He was cute short as he had to awkwardly hold onto the female’s glass and noticed Alaude approaching them, this time with cake in his hands.

"I suppose so.." He whispered under his breath before the next question.

Why did he love her…? “Uhmm…” He ran his fingers through his hair as he thought. Nero had never had to think of why he loved her, or at least explain to someone else. “Well I guess…I make her happy..and she makes me…happy too..?” Right? That made sense…Right?!

That response triggered a soft sigh from Alaude, he reached out and patted Cavallone’s shoulder.

"Hm. Good luck, you’ll need it."

He then walked towards the cake section and served himself a slice, eating it slowly as to savor the taste.

"H-huh…" He wasn’t sure how to respond to that besides saying thanks.

So he was working with narcotics, that was a pretty impressive and hard area to work in. “I’m surprised our paths haven’t crossed before. I don’t usually work with druggies though.” He leaned towards homicide mostly.

The next question seemingly came out of no where. Did he love his sister? “Well…Of course..” They wouldn’t be getting married otherwise. “Why did you ask?” Was he doubting him or something?

"I’m sure our paths will cross now." Alaude said and looked up into his eyes calmly. "Why do you love her?"

He had the authority of a trained interrogator, it wasn’t that he had something against this man, he just had to make sure that this person was after his sister out of love and not something else. … besides, he sincerely doubted that any sane man would want to marry his crazy sister. She was bossy and very dominant, didn’t men usually prefer gentle females?

"I suppose so.." He whispered under his breath before the next question.

"Ah I see…" Guess that also solves the reason why Nero had never seen Alaude around at home whenever he visited, which wasn’t too often anyways.

"Actually I’m a lawyer, not the most exciting job in the world." He joked with a soft chuckle. "What about you? Your sister didn’t tell me much." More like, next to nothing.

"A lawyer? I guess I’ll be seeing you around then." He muttered and fingered the buttons of his blazer. "I’m a police officer of the law, right now I’m leading a team of detectives to clear the drugs off the streets. So you can see why I’m busy."

"Do you love my sister?" He asked suddenly, giving the rest of his champagne to a waiter - he hated the taste of it.

Twins?! Well that would make sense… “Ah, no sorry. She didn’t tell me she had a twin.” He smiled softly before giving his hand a courteous shake. “My name’s Nero, Nero Cavallone.” He introduced himself and noticed the once over the other male was giving him.

It was a little odd…But understandable, he was marrying his sister after all. “I’m sorry we haven’t met till now. Are you and your sister close?” They should be, they were twins, but…She didn’t even tell him she had a twin, nor had Nero met Alaude before now.

"Nice to meet you." He muttered and took a sip of the champagne that the party provided. Alaude couldn’t have too much though.

"We… are different. I am busy with my work, so I don’t go home much." He just slept at the office, it was more convenient than going home and hear his parents nagging and his sister’s loud music.

So this man was going to be his brother in law? “So what do you do exactly? For a living, I mean.”

"Ah I see…" Guess that also solves the reason why Nero had never seen Alaude around at home whenever he visited, which wasn’t too often anyways.

Nero spun the champagne in his glass as he looked around. There was almost twice as many people as there were 10 minutes ago. He was kind of getting tired of greeting people and thanking them over and over again. He sighed inwardly eating another plate of pigs in a blanket before looking for his fiancee and bride to be.

The place was pretty big, he didn’t think his future in-laws would spend so much on a simple engagement party. Guess he was wrong. He looked around for the blond hair, kind of in a hurry as he wove his way through the crowd.

"Oops…" He staggered to the side as he bumped into someone. "Sorry about that…Oh..You must be Alouette’s brother right? You two look almost the exact same." Nero chuckled softly, but seriously, the resemblance was uncanny.

Alaude was dressed in a grey suit with a lavender shirt to match, he had to take a cab to make it in time for the engagement party since he had been dealing with a new case at the office. To be honest such events truly bored him, but for his sister’s sake he decided to show up. It wouldn’t hurt to take a look at he fiancé and make sure it wasn’t one of those thugs she usually brought home. Not that he was worried, this man must be decent if his parents gave thier ok’s.

He spotted the strawberry shortcake slices and immediatly took a turn to head towards that table, only to have someone block his way. Alaude felt his forehead collide with a strong shoulder and looked up in slight annoyance. Cavallone’s zoomed in face greeted him and he tilted his head in curiosity. This person… did not look like someone his sister would like.

"I… am. We are twins, she didn’t tell you?" He reached out a hand politely and eyed the man from head to toes. "Alaude."

Twins?! Well that would make sense… “Ah, no sorry. She didn’t tell me she had a twin.” He smiled softly before giving his hand a courteous shake. “My name’s Nero, Nero Cavallone.” He introduced himself and noticed the once over the other male was giving him.
